They opted for wood and white. Flat in Stara Miłosna

STUDIO 13 22 is responsible for the design of this interior. The flat in Stara Miłosna is located in a modern building in a green part of Warsaw and is 83 sq m in size. The space was designed to meet the expectations of the investor, who wanted the flat to give a sense of calm and respite after work.

The flat is dominated by white and beige, and the furniture has rounded shapes. The warm oak parquet flooring, laid in a French herringbone pattern, adds elegance to the interior. Designer Aurelia Karasińska proposed a change in the functional layout, thanks to which it was possible to create an open space acting as the centre of family life. Previously, there were two rooms here.

The wall between the kitchen and the room was removed and the space was opened up to the corridor. The entrance and circulation area was used as storage space. There are numerous storage spaces here, making it easier to keep things tidy.

The kitchen has gained in functionality thanks to the high built-in units. Every household appliance now has its own place. Some of the appliances are located in the large island, around which life in the home revolves.

The kitchen cabinetry was created from a combination of two types of fronts – white, smooth fronts and those made of oak veneer. A decorative detail of the kitchen is the gold brushed plinth and the matching handles and mixer tap. The elegance of the kitchen is added by the white conglomerate worktop, which is characterised by its beautiful appearance and high durability , says the designer.

The round wooden table has become the heart of the living area. The owners spend a lot of time at it with family and friends. Relaxing with a book, on the other hand, is made possible by a large sofa with a gentle shape.

The flat in Stara Miłosna has two bedrooms. In the first, a large bed with an upholstered headboard is set in the central area. Beige walls and fabrics made of natural materials lend a sense of cosiness. The oak furniture, on the other hand, refers to those in the other rooms. The second bedroom belongs to a teenage girl and stands out with its white furnishings.

Both bathrooms in the flat have been fitted with one type of stone imitation tile. The furniture is made of an oak veneer board, which was also used in the kitchen. The elegance of the bathrooms is enhanced by fixtures in brushed gold, irregularly shaped mirrors and paintings with floral motifs.
