Bridge House is a single-family house built near Poznań. Its design was prepared by architects from the mode:lina studio. The house has an area of 350 square metres and is an example of modern architecture that meets all the needs of the residents.
Bridge House is a house where architecture knows no boundaries. The building has been designed as a harmonious juxtaposition of two separate but interpenetrating parts. The first, highlighted by red brick, conceals the garage, technical rooms and, on the upper level, the children’s bedrooms and bathrooms. This traditional part of the house provides a solid foundation and accentuates the timelessness of the materials that give the building its distinctive appearance.
The second part of the house is a space outlined with wood, which forms the heart of the entire building. The expansive double-height living room blends seamlessly with the dining room and kitchen, creating an open zone where natural light is the main architectural accent. Huge windows blur the boundaries between the interior and the surrounding nature, making the house seem to extend outwards, inviting residents to take in nature to the fullest.
Striking wall
The owners of Bridge House, true book lovers, also made sure that their passion was reflected in the design. The living-room wall unit flows seamlessly into an extensive library located on the mezzanine floor. The carefully selected shelves, full of favourite volumes, not only create a visually appealing element, but also emphasise the intellectual dimension of the house. Here, the books become more than decoration – they are carriers of emotions, inspiration and memories, giving the space a deep, personal touch.
The architects at mode:lina have ensured a seamless transition between the children’s zone and the parents’ private space. A bridge suspended over the living room subtly separates the two worlds while offering the possibility to share the space. Hidden behind wooden panels, the rooms provide a sense of intimacy and tranquillity and provide the perfect backdrop for relaxing after a challenging day. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to ensure that the house not only meets functional needs, but also inspires you to live in harmony with your own values.
Proximity to nature near Poznań
Bridge House is also a space designed with outdoor living in mind. A large terrace, equipped with an outdoor fireplace and swimming pool, provides an oasis of relaxation where the boundary between indoors and nature is completely blurred. The glazed walls further emphasise the openness of the building, allowing residents to admire the landscape that changes with the seasons. This space is conducive to both intimate gatherings and larger events, creating the ideal conditions for living in a comfortable rhythm.
The interior of Bridge House exudes warmth and elegance. Natural wood intertwines with dark metal accents, creating a sophisticated yet cosy atmosphere. Sculptural lighting, carefully selected artwork and neutral tones complemented by textured materials provide a cohesive backdrop for individual colour accents. Every element of the interior has been designed so that form meets function.
Bridge House is not just a home; it is a celebration of thoughtful design, where tradition and modernity are intertwined on many levels. Every corner of this unique residence near Poznań tells a story of creativity, craftsmanship and a deep connection with nature. It is a place that lives together with its inhabitants, offering tranquillity, inspiration and unique comfort – a true bridge between the past and the future.
