What will Warsaw look like? Plans for the Future 2024 exhibition

The exhibition Plans for the Future 2024 will be on display at ZODIAK Warsaw Architecture Pavilion from 26 July.

For the 27th time, we can look into the future and see the latest architectural projects for Warsaw and the surrounding municipalities

This year we are presenting 64 projects by 41 architectural studios. From single-family houses to urban assumptions, from conceptual ideas to buildings under construction, this year’s edition offers a broad spectrum of architectural visions, says Igor Łysiuk, curator of this year’s edition of Plans for the Future.

Since 1996, Plans for the Future has been a snapshot of what architecture is at the moment. They show how the challenges we face are changing and how architects are responding to them. This year, there was a particular focus on architecture’s responsibility towards crises, especially the climate crisis. For the first time, architects have been asked to bring pro-environmental, pro-social and building revitalisation solutions to the fore in their projects.

The exhibition presents projects for 15 Warsaw districts and five neighbouring boroughs, showing the directions of the city’s development. Every third project is a public undertaking. These include the New Warsaw Centre, as well as schools, universities, sports facilities and community centres, as well as public spaces and parks. They show how architecture can serve all residents.

For the next three months, the Zodiak Pavilion will be a place for meetings and discussions about the future of Warsaw. The exhibition will be accompanied by lectures, curatorial tours, discussions and workshops.

We invite you to visit the ZODIAK Warsaw Architecture Pavilion and take a look at the future of Warsaw.
