With art and vintage furniture. This is how they furnished their flat in Wrocław

The flat in Wrocław was designed by Anna Budzowska of the Buduar studio in collaboration with Natalia Kuczyńska. It is a large flat with as many as eight rooms. The designers opted for a warm atmosphere that gives the inhabitants energy.

The flat has 150 square metres. Its interior was to be the best place to live. How do you create such a place? According to the architects, good design allows you to create a space in which the people living there feel that everything has its place, in which they feel natural. They designed the flat for investors with young children who enjoy city life and dreamed of living in one of Wrocław’s green districts, with good access to the centre.

The flat is located on the first floor of a small multi-family building with an internal private garden. The project involved combining two flats. During the remodelling, the architects managed to persuade the investors to open up the living space and the kitchen, to create a laundry room, a wardrobe and minor changes to the spatial layout.

From the very beginning, we planned to keep good quality materials in the flat, and during the renovation, it turned out that these were only wooden floors, while the rest of the things – such as tiles, fittings and doors – were replaced. Poor quality, unfortunately, does not defend after time,” says Anna Budzowska.

The duo wanted to divide the space into a distinct night and day zone. The work on the interior design was facilitated by the architects’ familiarity with the investors. They had already done a facelift of another flat for them. They knew that the flat had to be the perfect backdrop for their passion, which is art collecting, and at the same time bury things related to their many activities and sporting hobbies.

The most difficult and enjoyable stage was working on the functional layout. It was necessary to consult with the constructor to make a breakthrough in the right place. This made it possible to divide the flat into a private (night) zone and an open area for guests.

The flat in Wrocław was dominated by art. In order to diversify the interior, the designers persuaded the investors to introduce colour into the interior. Hence the more intense colours in the kitchen, bathroom and living room. A warm sofa, colourful tiles on the kitchen wall, a colourful bathroom in peachy-pink shades in the children’s bedroom area and blue accessories in the entrance area proved to be a hit.

Even at the renovation stage, we knew the colours would look great. We watched the flat closely at the stage of choosing them and were convinced that with such a bright exposure and plenty of daylight, our choices would work perfectly. They would warm up and make the space feel cosy and add character to the whole,” conclude the architects.
