Wojciech Szczot and his posters for interiors. Meet WAVES WARSAW

He has been creating posters for several years. Wojciech Szczot works creatively under the banner of WAVES WARSAW. He has recently prepared a new Synthesis collection, which was inspired by the Bauhaus. The series of minimalist and geometric posters will successfully decorate interiors of various aesthetics. They perfectly fit into Scandinavian, Japanese or boho styles. They will also appeal to fans of eclectic spaces.

The creator of the brand and the author of all the projects is Warsaw-based graphic designer, journalist and PR specialist associated with the fashion industry, Wojciech Szczot. He designs posters out of passion. The Synthesis collection is the third instalment of the WAVES WARSAW proposal.

This time, the designer focuses on the Bauhaus. With its roots in the early 20th century, it has long fascinated with its timeless idea of simplicity, harmony and utility. Today, with the growing demand for aesthetics combining minimalism with functionality, this style is back in favour. And there is no need to buy expensive furniture or accessories. Bauhaus can be brought home with posters.

Ego and Superego – Psychological Inspiration in Design

WAVES WARSAW’s earlier collections, Ego and Superego, were based on Sigmund Freud’s theory, focusing on a metaphor for the processes of the human psyche. The first of these, Ego, draws on the aesthetics of masters such as Henri Matisse, Wassily Kandinsky and Pablo Picasso to create compositions that encourage personal interpretation. Each poster has been named with a term from psychology to further emphasise the dialogue between art and self-discovery.

The Superego collection develops these ideas, drawing the viewer into a game with consciousness and the subconscious. In the design of these posters, the author deliberately focuses on the openness of interpretation, offering prints that, through their abstractness and richness of form, allow everyone to personally discover their own perspective.

The Ego, Superego and Synthesis collections are available in selected shops such as Pakamera.pl and Targirzeczyladnych.pl.
