Wood and colours. This is how they decorated a flat in the centre of Warsaw

The design of this interior was prepared by architects from the Gdansk-based studio JT GRUPA. The flat is located in the centre of Warsaw and has 90 square metres. The subdued furnishings have been enlivened with bold colourful accessories.

The owner of the flat was well aware of the capabilities and style of the architects, as he had worked with them before. The team was therefore able to afford complete freedom in creating the new space. The architects wanted to refer to the professional activity of the investor, who is involved in the production of steel and aluminium elements, so they introduced appropriate details. This is a bold move, as the nature of the work, the materials and the surrounding stimuli can often arouse a certain reluctance, but by maintaining the right balance, they managed to harmoniously combine the metal elements with the entire space.

The flat in the centre of Warsaw was received in a modern style with clear art influences. The rooms are decorated with both classic and modern design. Each is distinguished by thoughtful details and distinctive furniture.

Modern design for interiors

In the living room, the centrepiece is the famous Cameleonda sofa from B&B Italia, known for its modular design and soft, organic shapes, which gives the space a cosy and elegant feel. It is accompanied by an armchair from the renowned Cassina company, which completes a comfortable and stylish place to relax. Additional furniture, such as coffee tables from Baxter and Tachhini in a variety of textures and colours, including marble and metallic details, add an elegant touch to the interior, the project authors describe.

This art can also be seen in the bedroom. The room is decorated with a painting by Edward Dwurnik. It is framed in a cobalt blue frame, making it a striking decorative element, giving the room depth. The prints and paintings in the other rooms were also given original frames.

The kitchen and dining room are dominated by earthy colours and pastel shades. The kitchen’s wooden furniture has been painted in a light shade of blue. The worktops are finished in two types of marble in tones of blue and subtle pink.

Flat in the centre with original furniture

A curiosity is the orange table designed by JT GRUPA. Painted in high gloss, it is the focal point of the dining room. The furniture is juxtaposed with upholstered chairs from GUBI and a modern chandelier above the table. This part of the flat gives the interior an artistic flair.

The described flat in the centre of Warsaw is a sum of bold design decisions and expressive accessories. Taken together, they work together to create an elegant and harmonious space.
