We usually recycle glass bottles once they’ve been used. The PoWinoWazony project allows us to extend their lifespan. The special caps were designed by the 71rzeczy team. These decorative elements, printed on 3D printers, allow us to repurpose the bottles, quickly transforming them into a fully-fledged example of contemporary design – an attractive vase.
From the very start, the brand’s creators have recognised the potential of glass bottles. Their shapes, colours and origins are a natural source of inspiration. A carefully chosen bottle can be a decoration in its own right, and the PoWinoWazony project merely highlights its qualities, offering a set of elements that give it a new role.
The idea behind the project
PoWinoWazony was created in response to the problem of non-returnable bottles, which lose their function once used. The brand does not include a bottle in the set – the user chooses the one that best suits their aesthetic. This is a deliberate choice, in line with the 71rzeczy strategy, encouraging mindful use of objects and giving them new meanings.
Each component of the PoWinoWazon is produced using 3D printing technology from biodegradable polylactide mixed with oak wood. This material, which varies subtly from one production batch to the next, ensures that every piece is unique. Users can choose their own bottle, select their favourite configuration and create their own composition.
Eight configurations and two sizes
The PoWinoWazon set consists of three elements that can be combined in eight different ways (7 × 1). The design also includes a guide sleeve and a base ring, allowing the height to be adjusted relative to the bottle neck. As a result, the design is not only decorative but also meticulously refined in terms of functionality.
PoWinoWazony are available in two sizes – 71X01.OAK, designed for bottles with a diameter of approximately 75 mm, and 71X02.OAK, suited to champagne or prosecco bottles with a diameter of approximately 90 mm. Both variants follow the same design logic and allow for free experimentation with form.
71 wings as a trademark
All products by the 71rzeczy brand, from lamps to planters, are based on the distinctive motif of 71 wings. The PoWinoVases are no exception – each of the three elements in the set features exactly 71 wings, creating a totem-like structure based on a spherical shape. It is this motif that gives the design its cohesion and recognisability.
The brand has announced plans to expand the PoWinoWazon family with further pieces based on cylindrical and conical shapes, whilst retaining the motif of 71 wings. As a result, the design has the potential to become a fully-fledged collection, allowing users to build their own sets and compositions using simple, modular forms.
