Park Żerański

Żerański Park is undergoing a metamorphosis. Among other things, a rope park will be created there

Work on the new Żerań park in the Vistula district is gathering pace and its effects are becoming increasingly visible. The project, covering the western wharf of the Żerań Canal between Modlińska and Płochocińska streets, is transforming the area into a modern and friendly recreational space.

The contractor, INMEL Poznań, has completed most of the preparatory work, such as the substructure for traffic routes. Several tens of per cent of the mineral paving has already been done. Particularly impressive is the rope park, whose installation has been completed – it promises to become one of the main attractions for residents.

Work is also underway on a playground for younger children, where the installation of equipment for safe and creative play has begun. Work also covers the area of the Żerań Canal. The hammering in of dhows, i.e. special piles used for mooring vessels, has been completed. The installation of piers is currently underway, which will complement the park’s infrastructure and give residents better access to the water.

An essential element of the revitalisation of Żerań Park is the comprehensive development of greenery. To date, around 20% of the planned shrubs and perennials have been planted. Work on tree planting has also already begun. As part of the project, the park will be enriched with around 500 new trees, more than 1,000 shrubs and 36,000 perennials. The space will also feature lawns, flower meadows and turf to give a natural feel to the whole.

Żerań Park will cover an area of approximately 13 hectares, becoming one of the largest and most attractive recreational spaces in Warsaw’s Białołęka district. The project, prepared by the TopoScape and Archigrest bureaus, aims to create a place conducive to both recreation and relaxation in close proximity to nature.

The project is likely to become an important point on the map of Warsaw’s green spaces, offering residents modern infrastructure, abundant vegetation and access to the Żerański Canal. Żerański Park is already generating interest and enthusiasm, promising to be an ideal place for both families with children and lovers of active recreation.
