It’s the event we’ve been waiting for all year! Here comes TR³ WINTER! – the most iconic edition of the Fair of Nice Things. This is where the best brands and the best creators in Poland meet. This year, 300 exhibitors have been selected from a record number of almost 900 applications! There has never been such a selection before! This is Polish design at its best and a must-see on the pre-Christmas map of Warsaw. The grand finale of the best year ever for TRŁ will take place on 30 November and 1 December at the EXPO XXI hall in Warsaw. This will be the event of the season and will be honoured with the presentation of the award for the TRŁ DEBUT OF THE YEAR!
“We are in shock! We are shocked by how many AWESOME exhibitors will appear at TRŁ WINTER! We don’t remember such an edition of the Fair of Nice Things!” – say TRŁ organisers Ajka Mroczkowska, Anna Pruszyńska and Paweł Stremski. “We are celebrating the best 12 months in the history of TRŁ with flair and we are proud that for two hot “blackfriday” days at EXPO XXI you will see thousands, THOUSANDS of nice things from the best names and brands in one place that would delight not only Warsaw but also Berlin, Copenhagen and Amsterdam.
A feast is an understatement. This will be designer fine dining worthy of a Michelin star! – they add with a smile.
And indeed – the final edition of the 2024 Pretty Things Fair promises to be amazing. More than 300 exhibitors, 10 thematic zones, 60 outstanding debuts and thousands of gift ideas for yourself and loved ones. FURNITURE, CERAMICS, PLAKATES, LAMPS, TEXTILES, WELLNESS and ECO ZONE, BIRTHDAYS, CHILDREN’S PRODUCTS and the DELI boutique zone – all this will be waiting for thousands of visitors for two days at EXPO XXI.
The best list of exhibitors in the history of TRŁ? A legend from Bolesławiec, a new brand by Ola and Michał Żebrowski and HUNDREDS of thrilling stands featuring Polish design!
More than 60 companies will be waiting in the huge CERAMICS zone, including the legendaryMANUFAKTURA W BOLESŁAWCU, whose stand always impresses with its combination of classic and modern, the cult ÅOOMI STUDIO, the phenomenal and uncompromising GROOVI, Instagram’s beloved ceramic brand TRZASK CERAMICS, and the unmistakable LOOK AT ME PLATES by Magda Pilaczyńska, who will present her latest collection at TRŁ ZIMA! Boutique glassware will be showcased by the excellent and sought-after STAR STUDIO, but also by the ŠKIELKO brand, which finds the most interesting glass products from Czech glassworks.
The equally impressive PLAKAT zone will bring together the biggest illustrator names from across Poland. Next to BARTOSZ KOSOWSKI – DAWID RYSKI, next to PAWEL JOÑCY – SUSIE HAMMER, next to ADAM KOSIK – MACIEK POLAK. Next to the biggest stars, amazing debutants such as GIGI ROSADO or LIS KULA ALEK MORAWSKI. There has never been such a gathering of the best Polish illustration artists in Poland this year. There will also be a huge selection of the best books on design, art and architecture from publishers such as KARAKTER and ZNAK, as well as beautiful foreign albums on art and design from around the world from BOOKAREST, (1001)DISPATCH and JAK WAM SIĘ PODOBA bookshops. And, of course, calendars! Dozens of calendars with the cult minimalist brand KAL at the forefront.
The FURNITURE and LAMPS zone will be filled with brands and designers who are delighting the Polish design world with their freshness this year. Colour! Energy! There will be everything here. Colourful furniture and mirrors by HOGAI DESIGN will stand right next to a Polish classic – TAR lamps designed by Tomasz A. Rudkiewicz. Stunning, 70s-inspired lamps from NO BEIGE FEELINGS will stand next to innovative furniture from EISKU. A new collection of ceramic wall lamps from NODI STUDIO will delight next to totemic, colourful objects from DINGFLUX BY ASIA PIAŚCIK. A delight next to a delight!
For two days, EXPO XXI will become the biggest gift zone in Poland this year. Tens of thousands of ideas for original and quality gifts will satisfy every fan and every fan of Polish design. The full list of exhibitors is very impressive – especially the exceptional debutants! For the first time at TRŁ, OLA and MICHAŁ ŻEBROWSCY will present their brands. You’ll meet Ola at the stand of her original women’s boutique FRANCIS & HENRY, and right next door you’ll see the still-hot brand F’ALKO (that’s fake alcohol!) serving a non-alcoholic alternative to sparkling wine. The lovely illustrations, for F’ALKO, were created by the well-known illustrator OLA JASIONOWSKA. The event will also be the absolute premiere of the FRANKA MOMENTS brand – a concept of designer home accessories and textiles, conceived in every detail, created in Krakow. It promises to be outstanding!
A highlight of this edition of the Pretty Things Fair will be the YAMANN.PL brand stand, where you will be able to feel as if you are in the museum shops of New York’s MoMA, London’s Tate Modern or Paris’ Centre Pompidou. In all of these places, you can find products from the brands that will be visiting TRŁ this weekend, including notebooks from Frankfurt’s NUUNA, artistic bags from LOQI, crazy ceramics from Barcelona’s DOIY DESIGN studio and socks designed to look like… food from EAT MY SOCKS, plus mugs and key rings from the much-loved LEGO brand! Such a selection and such brands can only be found this weekend and only at the Pretty Things Fair.
TRŁ ZIMA! is, as always, a sea of inspiration and gift ideas from a variety of fields – expect the most interesting children’s books from top publishers such as TWO SIOSTRY or WYTWÓRNIA; it’s unparalleled original textiles – blankets, plaids and clothes; it’s the best designer brands with jewellery and organic cosmetics, it’s bicycles, plants and delicatessen food and preserves. To see and visit all the stalls it really is worth planning a few hours.
Who will win the award for TR³’s DEBIUT OF THE YEAR? From stunning 3D printed lamps to cork furniture
During this edition of the fair, the awards for the best DEBIUTE OF THE YEAR at the Trade Fair of Nice Things will be presented for the second time. The list of 15 nominees includes brands and names that can already quietly represent new Polish design. There are local ambitious furniture brands NC.FORM, OTOTO FURNITURE, EISKU and PLENER, there is fantastic ceramics by AGATA PUŁAWSKA and the GROOVI brand, there are exceptional illustration artists – LIS KULA ALEK MORAWSKI, GIGI ROSADO and MAŁGORZATA BIEROZA, there are lamps by BLUBA STUDIO, BAAURA, NO BEIGE FEELINGS and DINGFLUX BY ASIA PIAŚCIK, there are original accessories by FOPPA and hand-made notebooks by PAPER CHARM ATELIER.
We will find out who will win the award for DEBIUT OF THE YEAR on Saturday evening, but the stands of many of the nominees can be seen at the fair throughout the weekend. The winners will receive a ceramic statuette designed by ARKADIUS SZWED, an outstanding ceramicist from the School of Form and co-founder of the GLITCH LAB collective.
