The place opened in the neighbourhood of the largest river in Poland, and from its interior you can admire the Royal Castle. The Fala Restaurant in Kraków was designed by Grzegorz Pnioek of the Hauslab studio
The interior of the restaurant was inspired by the waves of the river, wind, sand, dry grasses and stone characteristic of the waterfront landscape. The interior was finished in light straw oak, thickly woven beige upholstery fabrics and was broken up with flesh-coloured terracotta elements. The architect decided to use terracotta in flesh-coloured and proposed a patterned floor in black and white
Every detail counted here. The watchful eye of a design fan will spot the New Works Tense lamps, which seem to ripple over the tables. Another source of light is the Artemide Falkland lamps, which decorate the bar and entrance area
The entire space is decorated with dried plants placed in ceramics by Krakow-based artist Andrzej Mędrak
The Fala Restaurant has been divided into several zones. This was done with the help of openwork walls. The first is the entrance area equipped with a reception desk, cloakroom and a dresser with a composition of Falkland lamps
The guest area is divided by fixed and movable openwork walls, which allow for any arrangement. Depending on the need, part of the premises can be separated to create a more intimate atmosphere. These walls separate the seats at the tables and indicate the bar area. Interestingly, a small section with a dancefloor has even been created here. The Dancefloor is mainly used for closed events
The heart of the venue is the kitchen. The kitchen is divided into two parts – the production kitchen with a storage area that guests cannot see and the kitchen proper, which is glazed and open on two sides. While waiting for your meal, you can watch the cooks at work and see how your dish is prepared
