New mural from Traffic Design adorns school in Gdynia

The mural depicts a ‘watery world’ and was created by Polish illustrator Gosia Herba. The new mural can already be seen on the wall of School Complex No. 6 in Gdynia. Its final form was developed after discussions and workshops held with students

Gosia Herba is the author of press illustrations, commercial illustrations, larger forms related to architecture and interiors, but mainly specialises in book illustration. She designs covers, illustrates and co-creates children’s books. Her work is published internationally. She has drawn for The New Yorker, The New York Times, Der Tagesspiegel and The Washington Post, among others. Polish readers know her from the books Balloon 5 or Van Dog

In addition to the motif of fun, joyful spending of time among nature, the mural features a frog – the heroine of workshops with children
The project is part of the Bloomberg Foundation’s Asphalt Art activity and will soon be developed into further activities to make the school more comfortable for the pupils

The mural was created by artists associated with Traffic Design. The project was funded by the City of Gdynia and Cavatina Group. The Traffic Design team is famous for carrying out projects in Gdynia that make art an element of everyday life.
