The new canopy of the Świętokrzyska metro station resembles the canopies of the exits to the platforms of the central section of Line 2 of the metro. The new canopy appeared in place of the old one, which appeared when Line I of the Underground was built
The canopy resembles the letter ‘M’ in shape. Work on its construction took several months. The canopy was erected in place of the old glass blue tube. A total of three semi-circular canopies were erected at Świętokrzyska underground station with the opening of the first line section from the Centre to the Ratusz station in May 2001
The project to replace the canopies was carried out by CP Development, the investor of the new office building on the corner of Świętokrzyska and Marszałkowska Street. The canopy is similar in appearance to those over the entrances to the stations of the second metro line. A light-grey glass roof is superimposed on the light-grey steel structure in the shape of the letter M. A decorative element can be discerned on the panes: geometrical figures printed in yellow. The canopy has rounded corners
This form of roofing will improve the aesthetics of the Świętokrzyska underground station. Two metro lines intersect here, so the stop has a nodal character
The appearance of the new roof has been agreed with the Department of Public Space Management of the Bureau of Architecture and Spatial Planning of the Warsaw City Hall
