The topping out has been hung on a skyscraper in the centre of Katowice. ATAL Olimpijska has reached a height of almost 130 metres

The tallest residential building in the region is under construction in Katowice on Olimpijska Street. An important stage of work has been completed at the construction site of an apartment building in the city centre. The investment has reached its target height of almost 130 metres. On this occasion, a traditional construction ceremony was held and a topping out ceremony was held at the top of the high-rise building.

The complex is being built in the vicinity of, among others, the legendary Spodek, the Silesian Museum and the International Congress Centre. This 35-storey Silesian skyscraper will measure 128.66 metres, and has now reached its target structural height

A sizable composition of conifer branches and symbolic carpentry paraphernalia was hoisted onto the top floor by a crane. The ceremony was attended by, among others, Zbigniew Juroszek, CEO of ATAL, and Wojciech Wojciechowski, the Silesian architect who designed the building, as well as the construction crew and management

Work on ATAL Olimpijska began in December 2021. The construction of the building was carried out in the self-lifting formwork system, which is a very efficient technique and at the same time guarantees the highest quality and safety. Now, installation work will be carried out, the individual floors will be finished, and window joinery and special façade cladding will be installed. Although the skyscraper on Olimpijska Street has already reached its maximum height, it will still be several metres taller. This will be due to the observation deck on the roof. It will be the spectacular crowning glory of the building and will allow residents and their guests to enjoy the view of the Katowice skyline and even the mountains. The entire ATAL Olimpijska complex comprises a total of 710 flats and 17 commercial units in three buildings. In addition to the 35-storey one, the other two will each have 17 floors
