The PEKAO ART_stories competition is aimed at everyone who creates. The organiser does not indicate a specific technique here – the competition is open to anyone who is interested in art and wants to share their talent. It does not matter whether your forte is photography, painting, graphics, animation or video. Talent and creativity count!
The theme of the PEKAO ART_stories competition is “10 years of PeoPay mobile banking”. The participants’ task is to present their interpretation of Bank Pekao S.A.’s mobile banking and relate it to the application’s anniversary. The author of the best work can count on the main prize of PLN 20,000. Additionally, three prizes of PLN 2,000 each have been prepared. The distinguished works will be published in a gallery on www.pekaoartstories.pl and on the bank’s Instagram @bankpekaosa. Winners can also look forward to the promotion of their works and creativity. Works can be submitted until 24 August this year. In turn, the results will be announced on 7 September this year
The best works will be selected by a jury consisting of: Marta Szygenda, director of the Marketing Department at Bank Pekao S.A., Paweł Ignaczak, associate dean for education at the Faculty of Artistic Research and Curatorial Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and Łukasz Pączkowski, known as Zulu Kuki – multidisciplinary artist, photographer, designer, founder of a creative agency and passionate about new technologies
Bank Pekao has been promoting art for many years. In addition to its collection of outstanding works, it tokenises art, organises exhibitions in galleries, or undertakes cooperation with renowned artists on the occasion of important events. This is why the PEKAO ART_stories campaign is a continuation of these activities in a new format. This time we are giving young artists a chance to freely interpret the products and services offered by the bank. We are curious to see how artists perceive the world of contemporary financial solutions and their presence in everyday life. I strongly encourage all art enthusiasts to take part in our campaign. Anyone can choose any form of artistic expression. We move with the times, we introduce innovative solutions and we are open to creative ideas,” says Marta Szygenda, member of the competition jury, Marketing Department Director at Bank Pekao S.A
