Design at its heart. Domoteka Design Centre and plans for 2024

on 27 February, a press meeting took place at the Domoteka Design Centre in Warsaw, during which Domoteka representatives presented ambitious plans for 2024. “We want Domoteka to emphasise its position even more strongly both as a place with collections of top-quality interior brands and as a space dedicated to designers, architects, stylists, all design enthusiasts. A space that simply teems with life,” said Agata Brzezińska, Head of CEE from Pradera, the owner of Domoteka, during the event.

The return of the popular DOMOdesign, a new series of inspirational meetings around design DOMOpasje, art exhibitions, the Domoteka Ambassadors programme with respected interior designers and new showrooms with top quality furniture and interior accessories… These are just some of the ambitious plans and projects of the Domoteka Design Centre for 2024. Representatives of Domoteka told the media about all the projects planned with both customers and designers, architects, interior stylists and journalists in mind during a press meeting held on 27.02.2024 at the centre’s space in Warsaw.

We have set the bar very high for ourselves. Our goal is to actively reach out to you with proposals for interesting, substantive and inspiring events that will be attractive to every person who is passionate about design. Because design is also our passion. We want this design to be present in Domoteka all the time in the form of unique furniture and collections, but also to fill the entire space – in conversations and social meetings, lectures and consultations with the most recognised authorities in the field of design. We have developed a year-round programme of events that will be a diverse proposal, a proposal that also positions design in the context of other fields of art ,” announces Julita Bolimowska, Portfolio Marketing Manager at Domoteka Design Centre.

What projects are included in Domoteka’s 2024 calendar? It could not lack the popular DOMOdesign, an event dedicated to interior design. This year, it will return in a modified format, with even more expert consultations and lectures. However, the new year will also bring new programme innovations – including the DOMOpasje series, i.e. five meetings with five inspiring women from the interior design industry. During each of these, guests will be able to learn more about stories of passion, dreams and female strength, and discover the stories behind original and unique design.

An important element of Domoteka’s new proposal is to work even more closely with experts and to extend the expert offer for customers. This includes the Domoteka Ambassadors programme, which invited architects and interior designers from respected Polish design studios. The group included Interiorsy and Archistan Interiors studios, Kamila Jakubowska-Szmyd, Martyna Banaszczuk, Alina Badora and Agnieszka Lesiuk. The Domoteka ambassadors will share their knowledge of interior design and styling, and will help to familiarise visitors with the latest design trends. As every year, the Domoteka Design Centre will also take part in Salone del Mobile Milano, the most prestigious furniture fair, from where it will report to its customers about collections of the best international brands.

Exhibitions are also planned throughout the year in Domoteka’s space. The first of these, on show until 29.02, features the designs of the renowned POLE Architekci architectural studio – various variants of the author’s holiday home design, Baba Yaga’s House, which, as many point out, may soon match the popularity of the iconic Brda cottages. Other planned exhibitions include a presentation of the work of the association Nów. New Crafts, which popularises functional and decorative handmade crafts that draw on traditional techniques, as well as exhibitions of works exploring the links between various design fields, such as fashion and design. And on the weekend of 2-3.03 at Kamienica Karskich in Warsaw, there will be an opportunity to see original design in relation to other fields of art, painting, sculpture or film. All this as part of the Artshow, of which Domoteka is a partner.

As emphasised by representatives of the Domoteka Design Centre, the new programme offer complements the product offer – which already includes over 60 showrooms and 600 renowned brands, some of which are only present in Domoteka on the Polish market. There is no shortage of new products at Domoteka either – in recent weeks Primavera Furniture and Blest have opened at Domoteka (also the brand’s Polish premiere), and next month the Halupczok showroom will invite its first customers. The latest collections of Domoteka’s brands will be on permanent display at DOMOspace.

We want Domoteka to emphasise even more strongly its position as both a place with the collections of top-quality interior brands and a space dedicated to designers, architects, stylists and all design enthusiasts. A space that simply attracts and pulses with life,” said Agata Brzezińska, Head of CEE from Pradera, the owner of Domoteka, during the event.
