12 September 2023 saw the long-awaited 20th anniversary edition of OKK! design. The event, initiated in 2012 by Olga Kisiel-Konopka, owner of the OKK! PR agency, has already become a permanent fixture on the calendar of the most interesting industry meetings in the capital. In the interiors of the Zamoyski Palace in Warsaw, well-known to architects, participants gathered to listen to leading Polish architects and interior designers under the motto ‘TOGETHER’, admire the best projects of this year’s Geberit competition, and above all enjoy the company of the community centred around the activities of OKK! PR. The meeting was hosted by TVN journalist Katarzyna Jaroszyńska
OKK! design, a series of meetings dedicated to architects and designers, has been organised for 11 years under the watchful eye of project author Olga Kisiel-Konopka, who has been shaping the image of Poland’s most prominent architects and interior design brands for years. Each edition of OKK! design addresses the most important issues related to architecture, design, residential and commercial interiors, making it a hugely respected event on the Polish design scene
The era of collaboration is coming
The magnet that attracted more than 200 guests to the jubilee edition of the series were the excellent special guests; Polish architects and designers who have been friends of the OKK! PR. Agnieszka Kalinowska – Sołtys, architect, partner and board member of APA Wojciechowski Architekci, President of the Association of Polish Architects, told the audience why it is worthwhile to work together. Prof. Jan Sikora, founder of the Sikora Wnętrze studio, presented his latest project for the metamorphosis of the Dzień Dobry TVN studio. Then, under the auspices of Architecture Snob magazine, a Noke:lina discussion took place, during which Karol Pasternak and Piotr Maciaszek – architects and co-owners of NOKE Architects – and Paweł Garus with Jerzy Woźniak – representing the Poznan-based mode:lina™ studio – spoke. The esteemed and award-winning architects spoke about the values brought by cooperation and mutual support, the beginnings of their collaboration and future plans for the new nOKK:lina project. The architects and co-founders of WZ Studio – Małgorzata Liebhart and Ada Skwira – talked about branding at SoMe
In a break from the inspiring speeches, attendees admired the best projects of this year’s Geberit competition while spending time in the palace garden and chill-out zone. Also appearing on stage were architects Jacek Tryc and Agnieszka Musiał, Geberit brand ambassadors, and Krzysztof Renes; a sculptor who enchanted guests with a poetic tale about the synergy of art and architecture
