Rihanna’s iconic creeper is back! Even bigger, even clearer.

Rihanna’s iconic Creeper is finally back. This time it’s bigger, thicker and bolder than ever. The PUMA creative director’s fantasy has been designed by her and named the Creeper Phatty, it takes the classic Creeper to the extreme with an oversized design, rubber sole and bold colours.

Phatty stands for extra confidence, extra style, extra everything. Rihanna’s vision was to bring back the Creeper model, but in a bold and culturally relevant way. The original Creeper model was launched in September 2015 and was a platform version of the iconic PUMA Suede. The silhouette was named Shoe of the Year by Footwear News in 2016 and not only changed sneaker culture, but also evoked the impact and relevance of the sports brand over the past decade

The latest Crepper Phatty is covered in suede with a padded and embossed PUMA stripe, embossed Fenty logo on the tongue, laces with gold aglets and a rubber sole. This drop offers three different colourways – the iconic black and white, an exceptionally bright blue juxtaposed with green and a lavender combination with cherry red

“We took our OG Creeper and maximised it from every angle,” – rihanna said. “In designing the Creeper Phatty, we wanted to reinvent the OG Creeper model that so many have come to love. It’s a classic silhouette that has been missing for a bit, so its return needed to be bigger.” As creative director, Rihanna explores the juxtaposition between the models in her second FENTY x PUMA campaign – shot by Philippa Price, who has previously shot for both Rihanna and PUMA: Creeper and Phatty, highlighting the oversized and bright elements of the shoe

This new version of the FENTY x PUMA Creeper is available in three colourways for all ages and genders. It will go on sale from 30 November worldwide at puma.com and global retailers, including Foot Locker
