The Fair of Fine Things in Warsaw on the weekend of 23 and 24 September

The Fair of Nice Things, the largest design fair ,will take place on23 and 24 September at the EXPO XXI hall in Warsaw. This is the start of the great autumn celebrations of the 10th anniversary of TRŁ. The double edition of TRŁ FRESH! x PRINT! promises to be exceptional, with as many as 250 brands and designers participating in the event. This is a record in the history of TR£’s autumn editions! What will surprise us? A unique stand with a limited collection of ceramics by Malwina Konopacka and Dawid Podsiadło and the premiere exhibition of 30 covers of “THE VARSOVIANER” project, created by leading Polish illustrators and illustrators

This is an exceptional edition and an exceptional year for TR³. If the record-breaking spring editions were a flight to the moon, this autumn promises to be like a flight to Mars! We are proud to start celebrating the autumn of the 10th anniversary of the Fair of Nice Things with great names and unique projects. Every edition of TR£ surprises us and so it is now – until we have no words! We didn’t expect such fireworks ourselves. It is going to be a fantastic weekend with Polish design,” say the fair organisers, Ajka Mroczkowska, Ania Pruszyńska and Paweł Stremski

FRESH! – or fresh design! Fashionable totems, stylish bicycles, Polish furniture and… the best designed wines in Poland!

TRŁ FRESH! x PRINT! is all about freshness and debuts – there will be over 60 at this edition! The TOTEM STUDIO WARSAW stand promises to be fantastic, where you will find designer, colourful, hand-turned totems that will add visual energy, ornamentation and avant-garde to any interior. This is one of the best interior design debuts in Poland this year. Right next door, you will be surprised by the stylish, minimalist urban bikes and accessories by TOKYO BIKE. Classic shapes, outlandish, unparalleled colours, attention to detail and finishes – Tokyo Bike is the essence of urban lifestyle and you will see it in full at TRŁ. As always, we are looking forward to Polish furniture premieres – brands such as MIUFORM, DAPPO and SZYSZKA DESIGN will show new table designs and stylish contemporary armchairs and sofas. It will be possible to test them out! Also not to be missed is the premiere collection of blankets and rugs at the SZMAT SKŁAD stand – this brand is a TR£ phenomenon and their products delight with graphic designs and ideas. World-class

But the Fair of Nice Things is, of course, about localism – also in this surprising edition. A surprise will be the stands of the DRAGMA brand – the first artisanal Polish Vermouth – and BRAĆ POLSKIE WINE, under which the best wines from Polish local vineyards await. Not only will you be able to taste them, but you will also be able to marvel at the wonderfully designed labels – modern, fresh, as if tailored for the Nice Things Fair

And finally, CERAMICS – one of the largest areas of the fair. So rich that it could easily be a separate event. And in it, the much sought-after TRZASK CERAMICS, an instagram ceramic phenomenon from Żoliborz. At the previous edition, they sold out their entire stand on the first day – what will it be like now? Stylish REVOLTE will present a new collection of plates and mugs with animal motifs, WESKY STUDIO will delight with raw minimalist experiments, ZAKWAS STUDIO will come straight from Wrocław – their cobalt accents are an object of desire, and we are very curious to see the debut of STUDIO PY£, HOLA CHICA and YIRD CERAMICS. And this is just a sample of the attractions

PRINT! – posters and illustrations to the horizon! Big names, big debuts, big zone!

September’s Pretty Things Fair will be distinguished by a huge poster zone – this year even more spacious than usual. It will be filled with great names, artists you will not meet at other events. For the first time at TRŁ in Warsaw, ADA ZIELIŃSKA and PATRYK HARDZIEJ, a wonderful illustrator duo from the Tricity, will appear. They will be joined by the irreplaceable and much sought-after BARTOSZ KOSOWSKI and DAWID RYSKI, as well as PRZEMEK SOKOŁOWSKI, making his debut at TRŁ, whose talent has stood out on the Polish scene for years. Fans of architecture are sure to be delighted by the stand of KONRAD KUNC, making his debut, and TRŁ audience favourite ADAM KOSIK. One of the most interesting events of this edition will be the SWIERZY.PL stand with official reprints of one of the legends of the Polish poster school WALDEMAR ŚWIERZY. This is a real treat for lovers of the classics

KONOPACKA x PODSIADŁO – limited edition ceramics “with soundtrack”. Only at the Fair of Fine Things!

This is a unique fair event – only this weekend, only at TRŁ there will be a special stand with a drop of unique ceramics signed by stars: of design – Malwina Konopacka and music – Dawid Podsiadło. This rarity one-off collection combines Malwina’s ceramic designs with textual and visual motifs alluding to Dawid’s songs. A collection, in fact two collections! The first – more casual, crisp and full of strong pop colours. And the second – more subtle, decorated with quotes from recent songs by Dawid Podsiadło. Both are stunning and you can’t take your eyes off them. A ‘must see’ for fans of great design, collectors of limited editions and, of course, all fans of both Malwina Konopacka and Dawid Podsiadło. And also for those who just like pretty things

“THE VARSOVIANER” – 30 artists and 30 covers of a non-existent magazine about Warsaw!

If Poland had its own “New Yorker” it would be “THE VARSOVIANER”. We would like to invite you to an exhibition of 30 large-format covers of the non-existent Warsaw “New Yorker” created by leading Polish artists. And yes – the covers will be available to buy!

“THE VARSOVIANER” is a project headed by ADAM KOSIK – a great illustrator, participant of many editions of the Fair of Nice Things, an exceptional creator of illustrations starring architecture. Following in the footsteps of world cities such as Paris or Tokyo, he has created a Warsaw equivalent of the cult ‘New Yorker’ at the beginning of 2023. It is a non-existent magazine that publishes a new ‘issue’ every two weeks on its Instagram profile – with an as-yet-existing cover prepared by another star of Polish illustration. It is a unique illustrator’s homage to Warsaw and a tribute to the famous cartoon covers of the New York original. Each cover is different, each differs in style, idea and atmosphere. The only common denominator is Warsaw. The covers of VARSOVIANER have already been prepared by PRZEMEK SOKOŁOWSKI, KONRAD KUNC, PAULINA ADAMOWSKA, JAKUB ZASADA or KAROLINA LUBASZKO, among others. Each illustration shows a different face of Warsaw, its unique style, diversity and energy. Each one could really be the cover of a real Warsaw “New Yorker”

Varsovianer

If you too – like Adam Kosik and the TR£ team – are a fan of the New Yorker phenomenon and its covers, or simply like Warsaw, you will be delighted
