This is the 10th edition of the event. In a few months, we will find out which realisation will win the Architectural Award of the President of Warsaw. All of Warsaw’s residents have their say in this selection. From now on, it is possible to send in applications in which residents indicate their favourite places and investments. The competition is open to realisations completed in 2023 as well as architectural events and books.
We can be proud of the achievements of recent years. Together we are managing to change Warsaw into a city that is better for everyone to live in. For us, the most important thing is always the residents and their expectations. That is why Warsaw is becoming more and more comfortable, modern, green and climate-proof. Now it is time to assess the investments and events of the past year. We are starting the 10th edition of the Architectural Award of the Mayor of the City of Warsaw. I can’t wait to see what will be submitted for evaluation in the jubilee edition of our competition. We look forward to your entries! – says Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw.
Residents of the capital can submit their favourite buildings, projects, events or books about architecture. Investors, design teams, event organisers and publishers can also boast about their achievements and realisations. Submissions are being collected until 19 January.
The quality of architecture is very important to us. We are increasingly taking eco-friendly solutions into account when evaluating it. At every opportunity – and at every step – we remind ourselves that good architecture must be accessible to different users, without barriers,” says Marlena Happach, city architect and vice-chair of the competition jury.
The best projects and events can be submitted via the form available at www.nagroda-architektoniczna.pl.
The organiser of the competition and sponsor of the award is the Mayor of the City of Warsaw. The prize is awarded in cooperation with: Warsaw Branch of the Society of Polish Town Planners, the Mazovian Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland and the Warsaw Branch of the Society of Polish Town Planners.
The winners in each category will be chosen by the city’s residents – in the form of a plebiscite scheduled from 28 February to 10 March. The winners will be announced in April.
