Big investment in Kielce. Nowy Czarnów has the chance to transform the cityscape

A new residential development is set to be built in the centre of Kielce. Nowy Czarnów has been given the green light by the City Council. A large, green-laden housing estate is planned for the area on Mielczarskiego Street, which could see the construction of more than 900 flats

In September 2023, the councillors of Kielce City Hall approved the planned development and endorsed the ‘lex developer’ at the site. It is a post-industrial site that has the chance to gain new life. The creation of a modern housing estate there, which also includes around 5,000 square metres of office space, could provide an attractive space to create employment for a large number of people

The development will not only provide a new space for the people of Kielce with recreation areas, playgrounds, an outdoor gym and a skatepark. It will also be a place to live for young, energetic and ambitious people, providing them with city-wide services at a high level,” comments Mirosław Sroka, president of BC&O Polska 1, a company that belongs to the Kolporter group

As Kamil Jaros from the Jarbud architectural office, which designed the Nowy Czarnów estate, explains, when planning the development in this location, the authors wanted to unite the city centre with the post-industrial areas located behind the railway station and the Czarnów estate. The location of the development in close proximity to green areas such as Ślichowice rock reserve, Górki Czarnowskie park, S. Staszic city park, Kadzielnia reserve, allows quick and easy access for cyclists and pedestrians. In the neighbourhood, there are PKS and PKP bus stations, giving the possibility of an easy connection with the whole voivodeship, as well as with large agglomerations (Cracow, Warsaw). The two projected high-rise buildings, thanks to their unique form, will become a new landmark on the map of Kielce

According to the investor’s announcements, construction works are to start in 2024 and be carried out in stages. Completion of the entire investment is expected in 2031
