Oliwa 501 is an architecturally unique office building which, as the name suggests, was built in the Oliwa district of Gdańsk. The property’s form fits in with the character of the surrounding development and combines office functionality with excellently adapted service areas.
The building complements the neighbouring Oliwa 505 development, which houses prestigious office and service units: a Hampton by Hilton hotel, a grocery store, and a segment of service providers associated with the medical industry. The project was developed by the well-known Warsaw studio Grupa 5 Architekci under the watchful eye of the Pomeranian Regional Monument Conservator. The investor was Moderna Holding.
Oliwa is a place where we can meet preserved Art Nouveau tenements, historical monuments and one of the most beautiful parks in Gdańsk – Oliwa Park. The façade of the new office building, adjacent to Aleja Grunwaldzka, has high and sloping roofs covered with ceramic tiles and classic rhythms typical of historic, big-city tenements, which are common in this part of the city. On the other hand, in the hinterland of Poczty Gdańska and Majkowskiego Streets, fragments of the façade allude with their divisions to wooden oriels and porches characteristic of the historical villa buildings present here. In order to reduce the scale of the building and fit the development into the rhythm of the historical division, the body of the building was enriched with niches and clearances.
The four-storey intimate project with an area of over 3,000 square metres has been planned to ensure maximum comfort for future users. The use of high-quality premium materials guarantees the building’s durability and elegance. The interior of the development is characterised by an atmospheric green patio. It is designed to concentrate the life of the building – to attract residents and visitors.
The building is equipped with amenities such as a charging area for electric cars, spaces for bicycles, scooters and motorbikes or facilities for people with disabilities.
