Oliva restaurant in Warsaw. They combined the cuisine of the South with the design of the North

Oliva Restaurant is located at 10/12 Ordynacka Street in Warsaw. It is a place for fans of Mediterranean cuisine and good design. The place has an undisputed heroine – it’s… olive oil!

The new interior of the restaurant was designed by Łukasz Hendzel and Matylda Iwańska of Paris Hendzel Studio. The interior design was inspired by the Mediterranean style and atmosphere, but the background for the furniture and accessories is white, characteristic of Scandinavia. In addition, the interior is filled with sand and blue elements

The designers have combined tradition and modernity here. To make the place pleasing to the eye, they relied on natural materials such as quartzite and wood. This is completed by details such as antique vases, a distinctive washbasin placed right at the entrance and glass-brass lamps on the ceiling. Also impressive are the patterns on the floor, which are reminiscent of images generated by a kaleidoscope

Part of the bar has a colourful finish. This is an energetic accent that has been repeated on the sofas

Another energetic ‘touch’ is the dishes served here. The menu features items inspired by the cuisines of countries in Europe that are famous for their oil production. At the same time, elements taken from Polish cuisine appear here. The menu features seasonal vegetables, fruit, meat and fish from friendly farmers and growers. The aforementioned ‘heroine’, olive oil, takes centre stage on plates and at the Olive Bar

We wanted to give you access to many oils at the same time to taste, compare and, of course, dip our locally baked bread in. We encourage you to come up and fill our designed olive bowls yourself and discover the many different faces of oil,” explains owner Julia Adamczyk

The Oliva restaurant in Warsaw recently launched a pro-health education campaign. The #LEJESIE campaign aims to promote the health-promoting properties of olive oil and encourage people to include this fat in their diet. Let’s #LEJESIE for health!
