Element, a studio based in Gdynia, became the first Polish firm to win the international Architizer Vision Awards, and in two categories! The designers were recognised with the title “Best Architectural Visualisation Studio of the Year 2023″ for their overall work and “Best Photorealistic Architectural Visualisation of the Year 2023” for the visualisation of the Headquarters / Ferry Terminal of the Smyril Line company, in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands ,which was designed by Danish architects Henning Larsen Architects
This is the highest possible achievement in our field and has elevated our company to the top of the architectural visualisation industry worldwide. We were recognised for being more photographers than technical creators of the 3D world. We don’t just take pretty/sunny pictures or make empty promises. Instead, we try to show the true value of the project in an honest and objective way. Additionally, we are convinced that the future of architectural representation lies in the constant search for new technologies and means of expression. Our company is boldly experimenting with new approaches to communicate architecture even better to our clients and the wider public – comments Jakub Figel of the Element studio, at the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia.
The jury, consisting of experts in the fields of architecture and visualisation, judged the entries from among hundreds of submissions, selecting only a handful of honourable mentions. The Gdynia-based company achieved this distinction thanks to their meticulous work, during which they pay attention to every detail. Aesthetics and innovation are factors that influence their visualisations
The jury carefully analysed the submissions, taking into account three key aspects: aesthetics; in their justification, the jury found the awarded works not only beautiful, but also perfectly reflecting the character of the environment they depict. Innovation and impact. The last factor, although difficult to measure, takes into account the fact that the work of the Gdynia studio inspires the wider design community and generates new ideas among other professionals in the industry
This is a huge accolade for us and proof that our passion and commitment to architectural visualisation work is recognised on the international stage. We are proud to represent Poland in this prestigious competition and that our company has become a leader in the field of architectural visualisation around the world,” adds Jakub Figel
When entering the competition, the Element studio sent the organisers the best visualisations it has produced to date. Their overview is published in the gallery below. Congratulations on your attention to detail!
