The Bridge skyscraper in Warsaw is rising. This is what it will look like

The skyscraper The Bridge will be 174 metres high and its construction is already halfway through. The investment at Plac Europejski in Warsaw is being carried out by the investor Ghelamco. The building will be equipped with pro-ecological solutions and advanced technologies will allow to use less energy. Our editorial team had the opportunity to visit the construction site

The Bridge skyscraper will have 40 storeys and 174 metres in height. Construction work is currently underway on 26 storeys. On average, it takes just five days to build one. At the end of August, the installation of the glass façade panels began. At the same time, work is underway to connect the building to the historic Bellona building, which will become part of the office complex. The historic lobby with its colonnade and representative staircase will be exposed and renovated. Both buildings will have a three-storey high common lobby. Its characteristic elements are the huge, measuring up to 18 metres, V-shaped coloured concrete pillars and a wide staircase, which, in addition to its communicative function, will act as a large piece of seating furniture

The Bridge sets the highest standard on the Polish office market. It is an ultra-modern and ecological office building on many levels, which is confirmed by the first SmartScore and WiredScore certificates with the highest scores in our part of Europe. The skyscraper will use the latest technologies that translate into safety and comfort for its users, but also for the environment, in line with our ESG strategy. It is currently the biggest and the most spectacular investment being carried out on the capital’s commercial real estate market and at the same time one of the most ambitious projects in our portfolio – says Jarosław Zagórski, Managing Director of Ghelamco Poland

The modernity of the building is evidenced by numerous certificates which the building has already received and those which it will receive in the near future. The Bridge skyscraper can boast SmartScore and WiredScore certificates at the highest Platinium level, it will also be certified under the WELL, WELL Health Safety Rating, BREEAM, Green Building Standard and Barrier Free Building systems

Located at the junction of Grzybowska and Towarowa Streets, The Bridge skyscraper is to be energy neutral and 100 per cent powered by clean energy from photovoltaic farms. Thanks to an intelligent solution in the form of the Building Energy Management System, it will be possible to control and reduce energy consumption. Equipment in the building will operate differently during peak hours and in the evening. In addition, the building will implement vacuum sewer technology, which will reduce water consumption in the toilets by 75 per cent

The building will also use a proprietary operating system, Signal OS, which allows, among other things, sustainable water and energy management and control of air treatment with monitoring to be smog-free. Part of the system is a mobile application that allows tenants to move around the office building without an access card or book rooms and parking spaces. The Bridge will also use special anti-pandemic solutions to prevent the spread of viruses, including virucidal UV lamps in the lifts and air handling units, the developer announced
