It has a new façade. Tenement house on Krzywe Koło Street in Warsaw

Work has been completed to give the townhouse at 2/4 Krzywe Koło Street in Warsaw a new colour scheme. Located in the Old Town, the building now looks like new

The changes were announced by the Office of the Capital Conservator of Monuments. The tenement house at 2/4 Krzywe Koło Street is located in a sequence of buildings whose renovation began in 2016 thanks to the co-financing of the City of Warsaw. At that time, several façades were renovated, new insulation of the foundations was installed and part of the roofing was replaced. In addition, the staircases were renovated. Now the tenement house at 2/4 Krzywe Koło Street has joined this group

According to the conservator, the front of the tenement needed urgent renovation. In particular, the plasterwork of the lower part of the building was in need of it, where the dampness of the wall had caused the most damage

The ground floor also showed signs of makeshift repairs and secondary repainting. This year’s renovation consisted of repairing and drying the masonry, protecting the cracks, and completing and restoring the plastering of the wall and architectural elements

The new top layer of the wall was made using a tinted plaster technique. The colour was selected on the basis of stratigraphic studies, reports the Office of the Capital Conservator of Monuments
