The interior of the house near Warsaw was designed by Monika and Adam Bronikowski, who run the Hola Design studio. In a modern house with a traditional pitched roof, they managed to create a cosy space that is filled with modern design
The setting for this modern and comfortable house is a quiet thicket of forest near Warsaw. The most important room and at the same time the heart of the family asylum is the spacious and light-filled living area, which is connected to the kitchen. It is here that the household spends most of its free time and meets for communal meals. The interiors open up with a view of the old-growth forest and charming garden. Nature is at your fingertips here and has a soothing effect at any time of the year
The harmonious dialogue of the interiors with the surroundings was achieved by Hola Design’s designers through subtle colour combinations. The spirit of minimalism is reflected in the muted colour palette of white, soft beige and deep brown. The smooth surface of the fireplace wall cladding made of light-coloured sintering and the solid oak floor bring a sense of calm to the interior. This is the ideal backdrop for the unique design elements
We have also assigned an important role to light. From the entrance, you can see the play of artificial and daylight coming in through the spacious glazing. The lamps not only provide functional brightness, but also create atmosphere and give character to the room, which is something the investors were particularly keen on. Thanks to their unique design and precision workmanship, the Italian lamps chosen for the interiors become a decorative element in themselves, a jewellery accessory that attracts attention,” say owners of the Hola Design studio Monika and Adam Bronikowski
Elegant and high-quality materials can be seen in the interiors. The light wooden veneers in the kitchen provide a neutral backdrop to the stone worktop, while in the bathroom they introduce the warmth desired in a domestic space. Grey quartz sinter accompanied by wood reflects closeness to nature. Lush curtains protect the bedroom spaces from the strong midday sun and are a subtle decorative accent. Carefully selected material textures and natural fabrics create a very cosy interior. Most of the furniture set up here was made especially for this project. The bedroom bed with natural leather upholstery in a matt finish is a Hola Design design
There is something else worth mentioning that is not visible to the naked eye. These are the smart home solutions that improve the convenience and functionality of the use of the building. The smart home in this realisation includes: light scene settings, heating and ventilation control, window shade control and an alarm system. These elements were skilfully integrated by the designers into the coherence of the minimalist design, ensuring both efficiency and elegance
Tucked away in a shelter of the forest, the house is a place where nature and design are in perfect symbiosis, creating an original interior. It has been recognised not only by its residents, but also by the international jury of the prestigious European Property Awards 2023 plebiscite in the Residential Interior – Private Residence category.
