Warsaw Tramways is carrying out further investments related to the greening of the city’s tracks.Trams will soon travel along Puławska Street again, where an impressive green track has been created

Trams will travel this way after the summer holidays. The green trackway on Pulawska Street was created using sedum. In total, there are already 30 km of green tracks in Warsaw

The new green section will eventually be 600 m long and includes the section from Olszewska Street to Madalińskiego Street. This section will connect the previously renovated tracks to the four-track interchange under construction near the former Moskwa cinema

There are more green investments. Another similar track will appear in Wola. Other new green sections include the tracks on Chałubińskiego Street and Niepodległości Avenue, from Nowogrodzka Street to Nowowiejska Street and as far as Politechniki Square

Sedum is an extremely graceful plant when it comes to its use on trackways. Sedum is a perennial that does not require watering and blooms in many colours

The new trackways are being made by Werde. For the next three years, the company’s employees will take care of the maintenance work. In total, the cost of the investment in the green trackways is PLN 6.5 million. The new routes under construction along Kasprzak, on Gagarin and to Wilanów will have green tracks. The total length of the newly built routes with green tracks will exceed 10 km. Tall, overgrown trees will be planted along the new tracks
