The exhibition ‘Zieta Illustrated. That is, about lines, design and emotions

“We believe that illustrations have a soul. They conceal multifacetedand multidimensional stories about lines, colours and emotions”. The exhibition ‘Zieta Illustrated’ is underway at the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw, showcasing works by young artists. The graphics showcase Oskar Zięta’s iconic objects.

At Zieta Studio, art, design, engineering and technology come together every day. In this interdisciplinarity, the emphasis is on the need to promote the quality and greatness of Polish artists. This is why the Zieta Illustrated project was created, with the aim of supporting young artists, combining disciplines and telling the passion for creation together.

The new exhibition concept includes a series of limited-edition graphics that present Oskar Zięta’s iconic objects through the eyes of some of Poland’s most respected illustrators, such as: Karol Banach, Edgar Bak, Katarzyna Bogucka, Ola Dobrzyńska, Iza Dudzik, Kuba Ferenc, Joanna Gniady, Malwina Hajduk, Ada Jarzębowska, Jakub Kamiński, Agata Królak, Paweł Mildner, Marian Misiak, Anna Niemierko, Maciej Polak, Paweł Smardzewski, Paweł Szlotawa, Asia Wójtowicz.

A unique addition to the exhibition will be the works of Pola Dwurnik, who was the first to create an illustrated story about the PLOPP stool entitled Zloty deszcz (Golden Rain), and internationally renowned illustrator Jeames Jean, who has engraved his work on mirrors and Zieta Studio bolides.

Zieta Illustrated, was launched in early April at the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw.

Deformed in steel, Oskar Zięta’s objects were subjected to individual, expressive interpretations. The illustrations, printed on large formats, were juxtaposed with the illustrated object and presented in a clean, breathing concept created by the universal and ecological exhibition system beMatrix Poland and Wise Expo.

The artistic experience is also laced with multimedia displays. Some of the illustrations are presented on Samsung TVs – The Frame – which, thanks to their high resolution and matte surface effect, are perfectly suited to the new concept of presenting art. The whiteMAD magazine is a media patron of the exhibition.
