It is 85 sq m in size. The interior of the notary’s office in Opole was designed by Patrycja Śliż and Jakub Flisiak of The Wall Architektura studio. The architects avoided stylistic solutions typical of chancellery interiors. The result is an interior that is elegant, but with a hint of a smile.
The investors, two notary ladies, wanted the interior of their law office to look original, but without duplicating standard treatments. The idea was to use the colour pink and expressive furniture in the waiting room (sofa and chairs). Once this idea was accepted, the designers started to consistently design other rooms.
The law firm is located in an old tenement, near Daszyńskiego Square in Opole. The premises, although old, were adapted to fulfil the new function. The designers knocked down a wall to create a large reception area with a waiting room. However, they did not interfere with the remaining layout of the rooms. In this way, the old premises were converted into an office room, two offices and a toilet.
We did not want to wall up the passageway between the offices, so we decided to insert grooved glass in a black frame,” say the designers.
In order to refer to the atmosphere of the tenement house, the authors introduced semi-circular finials on the carpentry work. The front counter of the reception desk is made of fluted elements in dirty pink, with two metal lamps hanging just above it. There is no shortage of clever solutions here.
In the joinery behind the counter, in addition to space for documents, we have designed space for a printer – so that it is hidden from the client and at the same time employees have easy access to it,” add the authors of the project.
The colour pink also appears consistently in other rooms, in the offices as an accent colour – a delicate pink stripe appears under the ceiling and runs along all the walls, penetrating into the curtains.
