Two new skyscrapers are to be erected in Łódź at the corner by the junction of the W-Z route and Sienkiewicza Street. The investment will also include the reconstruction of a 3-storey tenement house. We have just got to know the project of the investment, which was presented by the investor – BUDOMAL construction company.
Two towers with flats may be erected on a hitherto empty corner in the very centre of Łódź. The investment is to match the height of the existing office buildings in the area. The application for the so-called Lex Developer was submitted by P22, currently owned by BUDOMAL, a well-known construction company from Łódź.
According to the project, on the plots at 62 Sienkiewicza Street and 20 Piłsudskiego Avenue, a structure consisting of two 17-storey towers (up to 55 metres) connected by a common podium, with four above-ground storeys on the Piłsudskiego Avenue side, may be erected. The project also envisages the construction of an underground garage area.

A part of the investment will be a 3-storey tenement house at 62 Sienkiewicza Street, which requires complete reconstruction. The investor’s duty will be to restore the front elevation of the building in detail and in agreement with the conservation services. Both the architectural details and the character of the façade are to constitute a continuity with the historical buildings on Sienkiewicza Street.
The building will be dominated by the residential function (with premises of a higher standard on the top floors of both parts), supplemented by service and commercial activities, concentrated on several of the lowest floors of both towers, as well as on the entire usable area of the reconstructed tenement house. Approval for the project must now be given by the City Council.
