It is located in a small town in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The railway station in Witnica was opened after renovation. The historic building from 1857 received a renovated façade, new windows and doors and a refurbished interior
The renovation work lasted two years and took place as part of the 2016-2023 Railway Station Investment Programme with the support of EU funds. During this time, the façade and architectural details were successfully renovated. The building was painted in a light colour and its appearance is in line with the dark green window and door woodwork. It is worth noting the latter – previously several windows were bricked up, and after the renovation the window woodwork was returned to its original place
Also new are the clocks placed on the building with the inscription “railway station” and painted inscriptions with the name of the town of Witnica. The black letters have been placed on a white background – a return to the original solution. Interestingly, these inscriptions were discovered during renovation work
The historic building now has a completely new interior. The light-coloured walls have been made, and a chequerboard pattern has appeared on the floor. It is now possible to wait for the train in the building using the new benches. In addition, display cabinets with timetables and electronic boards for train arrivals and departures have been set up. There is also space for ticket offices and toilets

The railway station in Witnica has two levels. The ground floor serves travellers, while the first floor has been created as an area for retail and service activities and offices. As standard, the railwaymen equipped the facility with an automatic lighting control system and an intelligent building management system (BMS)
The final element was the redevelopment of the building’s surroundings. The old outbuildings standing next to it were converted into a bicycle shed and another into a garbage shed. Several parking spaces were separated, new pavement and landscaping was laid. In total, the works cost PLN 18.7 million. The project documentation was prepared by the Pas Projekt architectural studio from Nadarzyn, and the contractor for the works was Berger Bau Polska from Wrocław
